<br />
Here is my card using the wonderful new <a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/warm-fuzzies">Warm Fuzzies</a>. You have got to love him!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvFuM_jZbaJEOeaTtjPMULP0eQR3VgB3-U4MzFUfwbD_W4lesWVaUgs204LM3uZA2MrZ61NG3gYJeSrI1JFBTxnBMtEWCHUxQ2AQwil_KJd_gt0riJbshB5UH1qBALOGa8obgOf2M83Kfk/s1600/SDC16725.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvFuM_jZbaJEOeaTtjPMULP0eQR3VgB3-U4MzFUfwbD_W4lesWVaUgs204LM3uZA2MrZ61NG3gYJeSrI1JFBTxnBMtEWCHUxQ2AQwil_KJd_gt0riJbshB5UH1qBALOGa8obgOf2M83Kfk/s1600/SDC16725.JPG" height="320" width="280" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I added the 'snow' which is the wonderful chunky white embossing enamel by Stampendous to add texture. You sprinkle some on and heat gently from underneath. I added that after stamping and just brushed it away from the areas I wanted to colour.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPw2QRTJHKRAs5c1xiVpA_QClryXjrd5VumsFTXQ7GF7xy3l8A2ozgDypx3o7g_CLeWb0U4keRFgVgqLoV9Z-FQNkjoea0uQN0GGNUL5xbKmIh8D6VL4B4konBY4gAk5ayqPdR9GKwd4fN/s1600/SDC16727.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPw2QRTJHKRAs5c1xiVpA_QClryXjrd5VumsFTXQ7GF7xy3l8A2ozgDypx3o7g_CLeWb0U4keRFgVgqLoV9Z-FQNkjoea0uQN0GGNUL5xbKmIh8D6VL4B4konBY4gAk5ayqPdR9GKwd4fN/s1600/SDC16727.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
He has a shiny red breast using a Sakura gloss pen and some white glitter and I white embossed some tiny snowflakes too.<br />
<br />
Thanks for looking and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for the challenges!Pennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09785982754437231666noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4838195930760312944.post-38764382216957073692014-06-04T19:37:00.000+01:002014-06-04T19:37:14.691+01:00Photo Pocket Page Challenge in the Moxie Fab WorldI recently bought some pocket scrapbooking goodies and I did make a start along with some photos but I am really a cardmaker at heart, so inspired by the new <a href="http://www.scrapandpapershop.com/product/Paper-Crafts-Scrapbooking-Photo-Pocket-Scrapbooking/">Paper Crafts magazine</a> and the lovely <a href="http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2014/06/photo-pocket-page-challenge-journaling.html">Moxie Fab World blog</a> here is my card for the Photo Pocket Page challenge.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
I used the Simple Stories 24/Seven pad - the front of the card is asymmetric and ends at the typewriter keys and the dotty paper decorates the inside. The <a href="http://mamaelephant.com/collections/stamps/products/type-it">Mama Elephant Type It</a> stamp fitted perfectly in the speech bubble and I stamped the sheets of typewriter paper from heavy vellum.<br />

<br />
For my card I have used the Dockside Die anchor. I cut 2 layers of white card and one of the red and navy cardstock to make a classic nautical card. I love the look and feel of layered dies!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqWTj5EcFQb17g1N8PNj3HNxUulYBFpY48UBjx1JTh_pFzYxnMziieAL2YidSV04ab-_T9mceG6m5Pmrf0pbTq7t8A3MJvqA1PCJfMt5NGRzmu9e8Egl5QbgG6X9zn_MJGdIoeObgkcNIf/s1600/SDC16357.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqWTj5EcFQb17g1N8PNj3HNxUulYBFpY48UBjx1JTh_pFzYxnMziieAL2YidSV04ab-_T9mceG6m5Pmrf0pbTq7t8A3MJvqA1PCJfMt5NGRzmu9e8Egl5QbgG6X9zn_MJGdIoeObgkcNIf/s320/SDC16357.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I die-cut the Papertrey Ink 'hello' on white card , covered a piece of scrap card with lines of the wash tape and stuck that behind the word. Layered that onto a narrow navy blue border and it's finished. Easy and contemporary - just the way I like my cards!<br />
<br />

<br />
This is for the Waltzingmouse Pajama Party 'Tickle Me Silly' challenge to use feathers. Simply stamped in Versafine black onto smooth white card with a little strip of tiny polka dots.<br />

I love the quality of these stamps, red rubber and already cling mounted and ready to go!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4NBvwoQoznDll-OCWiT0fl6vEUajeJHlrvLyUtIGKbbdHtNE1n1ppVx4c4SfyGEQ-pMKOSKNY3qxVGVWlqt1rGbJ6tVIoM6hGw7eDlXo5YF9YyTUhVx79qlHed7UkgeSQ9Bypx8cqhhqa/s1600/SDC15498-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4NBvwoQoznDll-OCWiT0fl6vEUajeJHlrvLyUtIGKbbdHtNE1n1ppVx4c4SfyGEQ-pMKOSKNY3qxVGVWlqt1rGbJ6tVIoM6hGw7eDlXo5YF9YyTUhVx79qlHed7UkgeSQ9Bypx8cqhhqa/s320/SDC15498-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
To get the berries red and 3-d I first added some red Sakura sparkle pen to cover the black ink - that took 2 coats actually - and then some Ranger Liquid Pearls.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr-9-2OByFGal_TU7ttstXjhcqNClfbhY122BF7Gwf6FXpyMnTPMBxM38tLpwvarPGqzcLafaBowkpe62bghgLILhWyhGcrc5RbmAQUCAF6T2W3_5q3K6edi9J-YhCWdWH4SmYON-Yd-0_/s1600/SDC15503-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr-9-2OByFGal_TU7ttstXjhcqNClfbhY122BF7Gwf6FXpyMnTPMBxM38tLpwvarPGqzcLafaBowkpe62bghgLILhWyhGcrc5RbmAQUCAF6T2W3_5q3K6edi9J-YhCWdWH4SmYON-Yd-0_/s320/SDC15503-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
These oh so shiny wired red berries were a great find from <a href="http://www.ribbongirl.co.uk/catalog/pack-berries-p-682.html">The Ribbon Girl</a>. I wish I'd bought more than one pack now!<br />
<br />

Easy for me as I just love my Swarovski hotfix crystals and a few usually find their way onto my cards!<br />
<br />
I love this <a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/nordic-winter">Nordic Winter</a> set so much and have made several different Christmas cards using the set so far. My favourite stamp of all of them are these 2 little reindeers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtOQ-UkqvZJh73QQQHOpdcHrdviaA8iav2qAeZAoZP7k6NvD8g1322HDa4CEPEFE9g44NtnNZ-22dc89xgQ7EXM5hykAiCk0imB1gWteZQJZLo181vKvqJdllfv7t0Igda68l5G7TlPK_9/s1600/SDC15570-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtOQ-UkqvZJh73QQQHOpdcHrdviaA8iav2qAeZAoZP7k6NvD8g1322HDa4CEPEFE9g44NtnNZ-22dc89xgQ7EXM5hykAiCk0imB1gWteZQJZLo181vKvqJdllfv7t0Igda68l5G7TlPK_9/s320/SDC15570-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
They look wonderful embossed in white on this vibrant blue card by A.Muse. I used super fine white embossing powder so that the reindeers didn't lose their tiny stitched detail. A little lilac crystal in the center of the snowflake and voila!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3GQ18gAM-yC6zhXWd4-Meh5J1Py-ExgMBrXzeRsb1cUQ7AM46a32aoTi8P5RVHFnukoyfFQQ4433xoaYZHzttjo7_p-jwmhV2tUHdF_Z55_ZT1P2yr0Po0RrjSUKEEc6DvxttBF_WBSgn/s1600/SDC15572-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3GQ18gAM-yC6zhXWd4-Meh5J1Py-ExgMBrXzeRsb1cUQ7AM46a32aoTi8P5RVHFnukoyfFQQ4433xoaYZHzttjo7_p-jwmhV2tUHdF_Z55_ZT1P2yr0Po0RrjSUKEEc6DvxttBF_WBSgn/s320/SDC15572-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

And yes, my living room has one lime green feature wall!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUzNujEe8Rdg2q-qY0Gke7QHNyU_z4OKyhPtwVmlRQ9RQwf9RL8a5sxo_9Yyjlv8Q4hYVevLWHxyzNBi8ppAU8KevXHmc4kE8FhrNGMUTcR2UZJK9Sxd3fQE2ZA8oHYjXN6Rub_9QkPDKz/s1600/SDC15522-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUzNujEe8Rdg2q-qY0Gke7QHNyU_z4OKyhPtwVmlRQ9RQwf9RL8a5sxo_9Yyjlv8Q4hYVevLWHxyzNBi8ppAU8KevXHmc4kE8FhrNGMUTcR2UZJK9Sxd3fQE2ZA8oHYjXN6Rub_9QkPDKz/s320/SDC15522-1.JPG" width="296" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I simply used watered down PVA glue, swirled it around inside the plain glass baubles, turned upside down to drain the excess glue and then added the glitter. You have to be VERY patient and let them dry over several days but gradually they will lose their cloudy look and turn very sparkly.<br />
<br />
<br />

I used Doodlebug's Sugar Coating Chunky glitter as it caught the light better than fine glitter - I think they will look fabulous under the LED lights!<br />

And look, no stamping!! Just a punched border on kraft card, a fabulous wooden bird from <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/wood-flourishes/1249-wood-flourishes-birds.html">Kaisercraft</a> and some lime green accents. Can you tell I'm in a lime green phase? Have been for some time now actually!<br />

Love this sweet <a href="http://www.teddybo.com/">Teddy Bo</a> digital stamp , part of a larger one. I've coloured this with Derwent pencils and blended with Sansador. Colouring is not my strong point so I am thrilled with the happy accidental way the fur has come out actually LOOKING like fur!!<br />

Metallics are a bit hard to capture aren't they? Here's a close up so you can see the silver embossed words and the cute little mirror heart. The base card is a gorgeous gunmetal pearlescent card too, a little lighter than it looks here and very pretty when you tilt it.<br />

<br />
I have used my new Paper Smooches stamps, Boob Tubes. I am loving these retro televisions! And I'm so happy that Make The Day Special in the UK is now stocking Paper Smooches.<br />
<br />
For my 3 challenges I have chosen -<br />
<br />
week 6 -off the edge<br />
week 9 - a touch of red<br />
week 19 - in the frame<br />
<br />
I simply stamped the 3 televisions, 2 of them off the edge, and added some black Sakura gloss pen and some red glitter then drew a frame with the same Sakura pen. Hope you like it!<br />

I love that poppy digital stamp!<br />
<br />
I printed it out twice and cut out the poppies to give them a little dimension and coloured them with Copics. My colouring is NOWHERE near as fantastic as Beth's beautiful shading but I am pleased with the depth of colour nonetheless.<br />

<br />
Red white and blue always make me think of the seaside and sailing so I've made this nautical notecard - hope you like it!<br />
<br />
I must say thank you so very much for all the lovely welcoming comments last week. Limettes really are a wonderful bunch aren't they?<br />

<br />
The sailor's hat is decoupaged with an extra layer for the brim which I coloured with a Copic pen. I had no matching red card so I coloured a scrap of white card with the same red pen and cut a fine slither to add a little more red. The layers and 'waves' are navy blue linen card which is so tactile.<br />
<br />
Here's a close-up of the sailor's hat -<br />

I have been lurking at LIM for weeks now admiring everyone's gorgeous creations so I thought it was about time I joined in the fun!<br />

I just happened to have some Papertrey Ink Fruit Fusion stamps on my desk so made this little notecard. The apple is popped up on foam pads to give it a little depth.<br />
